Translating Squanch Games' comedy shooter into a fully embodied adventure

Company: Flat2VR Studios · 2027
Responsibilities: Creative direction, interaction design, UI/UX, team leadership

Overview

High on Life VR is the re-imagining of Squanch Games' 2022 epic narrative comedy in fully immersive VR. The game went viral for its cast of talking guns, voiced by iconic comedians including Tim Robinson, Michael Cusack and JB Smoove. Once ported, it will be one of the most ambitious narrative experiences to come to VR.

As game director and design lead, I'm guiding the team turning flat-screen systems into things you physically do, from reloading each weapon by hand to creating immersive augmented reality interfaces and interacting with the alien creatures face-to-face.
