Dragon

ROLE:  Experience Designer
TOOLS: Unity, Photoshop
Dragon offers visitors an exhilarating experience through the valley of the Dragons. Lots of dives and corkscrews, which only work in aquatic VR. As project lead, I managed narrative design and built the virtual environment in Unity.

A New Class of VR Thrill Experiences

DIVR+ is a portable VR snorkeling system enhanced with sensory effects like neutral buoyancy, water jets, bubbles, and immersive audio for a lifelike underwater experience.

Tasked with designing the inaugural experience for the DIVR+ system, I led the development of Dragon, part of Ballast's initiative to create the next generation of weightless VR adventures. My design focus was to craft narrative-driven experiences where visitors felt immersed in the story. In Dragon, users follow leaping koi fish in Zhangjiajie National Park, transforming into dragons upon jumping over the waterfall.

Launched in late 2020, Dragon is a cornerstone of the DIVR+ package, available at select waterparks and resorts worldwide, elevating aquatic entertainment to new heights.
